[SOLVED] Dual monitors with different resolutions and refresh rates?

Hi, i'll be getting another monitor soon. My current monitor is 1080p@75hz while the new one will be at 1440p@144hz. The 1080p monitor will be using hdmi cable while the 1440p will be using dp cable. My gpu supports both cable. Now the question is, can I run the 1440p monitor at 144hz? Or will it be dialed down to 75hz to match the 1080p monitor?
