Dual Screen Misery (Issues with Monitor and TV set up)

Ok guys, I need some serious help.
I currently have my gaming pc hooked up to a HP2311xi monitor and a Vizio 49in M series tv. The monitor is hooked up via DVI and the TV is hooked up via HDMI.

Specs of PC:
AMD FX6300
8gig ram
AMD HD7870
Sandisk SSD

Here is the problem:
When I want to use the tv, I typically go into windows and switch the display to my tv so it doesn't display on the monitor too. This works great for streaming tv and gaming. However when I switch the display back to the monitor and I allow the pc to go to sleep this happens when I wake the pc up:


When I move the mouse the screen will go back to normal and also scramble up. When I reset the pc everything goes back to normal until I switch the display to the tv and back and allow the pc to go to sleep. I have the latest AMD Drivers(omega). I don't think my graphics card is overheating or messed up because its fine with gaming and only does this in this very specific situation. This however is really annoying.

All suggestions welcome, sorry for long post.

I'd update your motherboard BIOS and also the motherboard chipset drivers if there are newer versions at the OEM's product page. What is your motherboard model, what is your current BIOS version and what is the exact model number of your GPU? Also, what Windows version are you running.

I'm pretty sure I have the latest bios but I will check for an update just in case.
I have this 7870:

I have windows 8.1. I'll try getting latest drivers, bios, ect and see what happens. I was hoping this was an AMD Video setting.

Well I checked to make sure I had all newest drivers, bios, ect. I was already up to date on everything. Such a pain. Thanks for the suggestion.
