I have upgraded my Dell T5500 with Dual Xeon X5670 which should have 12 cores and 24 threads, however CPU-Z and other programs show only 12 Threads and not 24. I have upgraded my BIOS to A18 (2018) and also enables all cores in Win 10 via MSCONFIG. Does anyone know how to see all the 24 Threads???

Thank you all in advance

I enabled the bios hyper-threading and now it only recognizes one of the CPUs (6 core and 12 threads).

Interestingly CPU Z recognizes the rams on 2nd cpu but not the cpu itself. The Fan on 2nd cpu is also working but I do not know why any software don't recognize the second cpu?

Is it possible windows cannot work with these two X5670 CPUs?

press ctrl+R and type msconfig
then chose boot and inside boot menu click advanced option
you will find (number of processors option) uncheck this option because it limits the number of processors just let the number of processors unlimited
