Hi guys i was wondering if i should upgrade my video card. I play games like Bad Company 2, AC2, MW2 and many other new ones. I am currently using MSI Geforce9800 GT (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127379) and wanted to see if i can upgrade my card to a new one. I can spend about 100 to 200 dollars somewhere in that ballpark and was wondering if an upgrade over that old card would be worth it. Right now i am thinking of getting 5830 or 4890. I am currently using Phenom 965 with Asus Micro Motherboard and a mid tower case so i have to make sure it fits as well. Any help or suggestion will be much appreciated and should i go with Nvidia Or ATI? And a Pre Reply Thanks :lol:

There's actually an HD5830 on newegg at the moment for $215($200 after rebate);

That price actually makes it a reasonable choice, especially if you OC the card. That said if your resolution is below 1920x1080 then I would say just get the HD5770.

Alright then so i should go with 5770 or that nice deal for 5830? Also Is this worth the upgrade right now? which manufacturer should i buy from? XFX, Asus, HIC, or which sapphire card? I have a 22 inch Moniter which runs at 1680 1050 i think in that area. Thanks again for your replies guys

The HD5770 should be very good for your resolution. At stock I would say even at that price the HD5830 isn't quite worth it but if you bump up the voltage and overclock the card it does very well. I guess I'd choose based on what you want to spend, either is a good choice.
