That's a bit dumb. Having the option to customize your character however you want in an RPG does not equal having a random gay robot in an FPS.

Lol to all the people bashing the fact that there are gay options in video games.

1. It's stupid in Duke Nukem, I think we can all agree.
2. In RPGs, if your character is flirted with by a dude, just completely reject him like you would in real life. I don't think it's really that difficult.

The point is, if you don't like the gay options, don't persue them.

Well, as long as they aren't as irritating as Anders was in DA2. That guy would not stop pushing and the only other choice I had was to piss him off (which I didn't mind doing by the end of the game).

Mass Effect 3 is starting to look like an avoid, which really sucks as I liked the first and second games.

Bioware is losing their minds! I am beginning to question Star Wars the Old Republic as well. I may take a closer look at Tera.

this is why i've been dying for a Duke game the last 12-14 years it seems emo politically correct heros became popular right around 2000. why do our heros have to consider the "consequences" of how they deal with others it's about time we get one that does what's needed with out thought of crty babies gettign offeneded by his manners , in short We need Duke!

ok so in the first dragon age they did let you define this , but in DA 2 they just hit you over the head with male side kick after male side kick hitting on your char i barely got throught the game cos i got sick of every other male character trying to bed me in a mostly medival settings it's almsot liek bioware was tryign to shove gayness down every one else's throat (and the female options were lack luster and fewer in choice). if Mass effect 3 follows that route i';l be saddly disapointed with the game , sure go ahead and allow M on M intimacy , but for christ sake don't slap me in the face with it , by having every other male side kick hit on my male shepard then get cry baby pissy when i reject them. (like they did in DA2)

Romance options should be the DLC that way people can pay for what they want. Even in RPGs, I am dissapointed that half of my 60 bucks is for gay content that I will never use.

cheers bro , one thing that i'm more tired of than Pussy emo heros , are companies pandering content for the gay community, it's not like gay's are a sperate race minority , they celibrate sexual acts ,a dn thena ct like they deserve special atention for doing so and get pissy when movie censorers slap high ratings on thier movies as if thier movies shoudl be better for child viewing than any otehr movie with sexual themes/content. If i or other strait people go out and start a march or a parade for strait life styles every one screams how perverse teh notion is , yet intoday's "pollitically correct" society when gays do teh same if a strait person so much as breaths a word against it the gays all cry about discrimination as though they are a "race" and they are NOT ,. if my bed room choices are considered obscene for public domain then gay's bed room choices shoudl be viewed as the same, being gay DOES NOT make you a unique racial minority , it just means you like to poke sam instead of suzy, and that should not determine how you are treated politcally or socially , nor should it give you any special privlages.


that said , don't get me wrong i'm not a gay hater. i actually hate no one , but i do hate seeing people use soemthing that is totally a personal and PRIVATE choice in thier life to try to swing favors because of that. I choose to listen to heavy metal and grow my hair long and you sure as f--- don't see me crying like a baby every time a cop pulls me over and wants to search me from drugs. my long hair does fit me in the police profiles for drug users/dealers, and i live with that fact i dont cry about it or scream how it is unfair it is.

that all said , sure be gay if that is what you want , but don't expect teh rest of the world to break thier back for you treating you as though you are a racial minority because you ARE NOT .

Well said!
I would like a game or any type of entertainment to go pleasing the specialized crowd. You don't like it, don't buy it, simple as that. Why does it have to please the gay community? Or vice-versa, why do they try to please the hetero community either? Make the best work you can, and stop trying to please everyone in the world. If the best work you can make is making it complete to fit all and sell the most, do it, but don't be influenced, or should I say pressured, by minorities.
Be pressured only by the wallet votes maybe makes sense, but being pressured like that produces repetitive garbage that make forum haters again hate it. There will ALWAYS be somebody who is going to hate, no mater what. Minimizing these hater influences and negative publicity at the cost of diminished satisfaction to the true fans is a recipe for short term success and long term failure.
Glad that Duke and Sam at least appear to be holding their ground and trying to please the fans. Duke less so as keeping the fans waiting for this long.
