[citation][nom]hamthony[/nom]Is it just me or are todays youth going to not even know who Duke Nukem is? Seriously if your under 25 chances are you probably never played it. I was a big big fan but it goes without saying his Q' status has def nose dived since the 90's[/citation]

I half agree. I am 23 and I remember it well. I also remember having to play with the volume down when the parents were home so I could continue to play.... haha

But I think I am the break neck young age for remembering it or not.

[citation][nom]rocky1234[/nom]From what I remember of the game trailer that was shown here about a month back I hope that the swearing it takin out of the game as I remeber Duke saying the F word a few times & lets face it there is no need for Duke to have to say the f word to make his sayings funny.[/citation]

Ill rip your head off and shit down your throat!

-Duke Nukem

Actually I agree Duke should have his smart a$$ comments that is what makes him the Duke but from the preview it seemed they went out of their way to make The Duke say the F word a lot. In the first one he was funny with his wise a$$ comments & never had to actually say the f word ever. Yes I played the first one finished it in fact & played many many many hours of multiplayer forst over dial up them over thin net it was a blast to play.

I wonder why people consider Duke to be rude... After all, HE flushes after taking a piss! Not like some!

I also want to remind many of you that Duke Nukem 3D was the third in the franchise: Duke Nukem 1 and 2 were 2D platform games.

And Duke already swore like a sailor in those.

I'm excited for this, but kind of sad at the same time. It will be the end of an era if this game actually gets released. I would hate to be an employee at Gearbox right now. The pressure to get this game released and not having it suck must be enormous. Good luck Gearbox.

Even after all these years of delay and vaporware, the moment I hear "Duke Nukem Forever", I get excited. I spent more time playing and making levels for Duke3D than any other game by a long shot. Can't wait for the sequel.

Hmmm, anybody remember "Shadow Warrior" and the first "Soldier of Fortune", absolutely nothing politically correct there at all, those were the days, games were actually phun, not like the news story junk of today,,,must be getting old...:)

Shet, I'm all out of gum. Guess I'll have to ask Gearbox for some. I know they always have all those different flavored gums. Maybe while I'm at it I'll do some a$$ kicking!

On a more serious note though. I really hope this game gets released. Not just for myself that has been waiting those 10 lonngggg years (I've been playing since Duke 1, 2, and 3D back in the day and I'm 24). But it's about bringing the world closer together with kicking some alien tail and picking up some beetches along the way as well! After it's released the world will be in a state of peace for the next century, all hail the king baby!

me: Hello
caller: Hello, this is hell calling.
me: Hello, what's going on hell?
caller: We just wanted to let you know that we're in the middle of a blizzard. Hell has offically frozen over.
me: really? Wow! Hmm I wonder if Duke Nukem Forever would actually get released. Nah, that could never.....

HOLY CRAP!!!!!

Still remember shooting at 2d sprites "walking" around on screen. I am definitely looking forward to playing a game that has been built on that kind of quality programming.

has any oen considered the fact that the game was "leagally" stolen from its makers using back door politics and red tape , if it is indeed getting finished ? does any one care about this fact? asmuch asmuch as i'd like to see the game , i fear it wil have no mention of 3d realms or the guys that worked on it for 12 years. I hate seeing leagal crimes more than waiting for a video game.

[citation][nom]excidium[/nom]Have you played the first one? If there is gaming character in gaming history that deserves to drop a few F-bombs here and there.. its Duke![/citation]
Heh...good old Duke. Makes me wonder how many game engines and graphics cards have gone and passed since DNF's development was started...

Duke Nukem really brings back some great memorys. I hope the new Duke can live up to the hype. Given the last time I played Duke the new Duke may not have much name brand recognition left. If its a good game tho could do well.
