Duplicate monitor on Graphics card

I have a few questions on using a duplicate monitor.

1) If I have duplicate monitors turned on, is it as taxing on the graphics card as extended displays?

2) If the duplacate monitors is on my TV and monitor, but my TV is on a different input does it still tax the graphics card?

3) Same question as #2 with the monitor off instead.

running multiple monitors is not very taxing you probably wont notice a difference in performance unless you have a extremely low end gpu
