I am planning to build a new i9/RTX ~3080 on air PC, and I would like to choose a case to complement my needs:
  • durable and silent operation (can add/switch fans if it would help)
  • long life (looking for PC for next 5-10 years)
  • pet resistant, easily accessible anti hair filters for intakes, can withstand chunky(>10kg) cat sitting on top of it (no soft grating on top side), preferably tip-over-resistant (cant decide whether to place it on desk and minimize dust/hair or near floor to save it from possible tip over damage)
  • enough space for convenient access and heavy component support (rtx 3080, noctua nh-d15)
  • minimalistic design, not too much plastic or cool kid
  • no RGB needed, glass would be nice but it will be sitting to my left so probalby uncessary/impossible
  • no need for watercooling support, will be air-only
  • air flow is important but not the the main feature (only light overclocking)
  • preferably without PSU or at least a decent efficiency one
  • can fit ATX, budget unlimited but resonableTM (=just no diamond powerbuttons etc) - anything I save on case can go inside it as higher quality component
I am currently considering Fractal Design Define 7, but I am unsure if it is not overkill when I am not overclocking? What about about the top-side durability/materials? I am also open to a different case suggestions.

Solution
keeping an i9 along with a RTX 3080+ card with an air/tower cooler silent and cool enough at the same time can be a difficult task.

something like the be quiet! Silent Base 802 would be a very nice option because it offers inter-changeable solid & mesh front & top panels for silence or for airflow.
is also fully modular so you can switch to a right-side view if wanted.

adding 2 or 3 more Silent Wings 3 to it can help keep airflow higher while lowering the RPMs and further reduce the sound of all fans.
and they are quiet even near full speed anyway.

Looks great, even better built than Fractal Design - the top 'mesh' option even looks supported by metal frame and hair-ressistant filters are from all sides.
