Hello, how's everyone doing.
So i wanted to get "asrock x870 nova wifi phantom gaming"motherboard with 9950x3d. But i have been reading for a while now that with asrock motherboards 9000 series cpu are dying and this issue still hasn't fixed properly.
The reason i wanted that motherboard because it doesn't share pci lanes between gpu and m.2 slots. I want to use at least 4 m.2 slots for my m.2 drives.
So i was check and found out that mag x870e tomahawk has 4 slots (2x 5gen and 2x 4gen) and 2nd 5gen slot turned off the all usb4 ports when using with gen5 m.2 drive.
So here is my question. What if i use only 4th gen m.2 drives in all 4th slots, will then the usb4 ports work or they will still not work?
And will using all 4 m.2 slots (with 4th gen m.2 drives) cause gpu performance to go down, like will they share pci lanes with the gpu?
I also want to use all of the 4 sata slots for my hdds. Actually i have 5hdds but then i will move data from 1hdd to one of the m.2 drive.
In short i want to have at least 4 gen4 m.2 drives (don't care about gen5 m.2 option) and 4 sata drives available to use fully without compromising any performance on the gpu or on any other thing like usb4 ports. And yes i need to have my hdds plugged internally and not in external configuration.
Will i be able to do that on x870e tomahawk motherboard or is there any other motherboard that allows the same configuration except asrock motherboards?
Oh and my gpu is rtx4090, the one currently i am using which i will be upgrading with rtx6090 when it drops hopefully next year.
Thanks.

**USB 40Gbps Type-C ports on the back panel and M2_2 slot share PCIe 5.0 x4 bandwidth. Both run at PCIe 5.0 x2 when a device is installed in the M2_2 slot. You can switch M2_2 to PCIe 5.0 x4 in the BIOS, but this will disable the USB 40Gbps Type-C ports. The USB4 host controller supports up to PCIe 4.0 x4.
So in short, i will be good with using gen4 m.2 and both the m.2 and usb4 will work.
Thanks.
