I am building an industrial PC which will run 16 hours per day everyday in somewhat dusty industrial environment. At present no air conditioning is available so the ambient temperature may reach 40 to 50 degrees.
I need a motherboard that is very durable both externally and internally, in terms of good capacitors, surge protection, voltage fluctuations and quite hot temperature.
I will be using it with i7-7700 (non-K) as I am not planning to overclock it.
Rear ports and slots needed (minimum)
1. USB 3.0 x 4
2. PCIE x 3 (even x1 lanes might suffice)
3. PCI x 1
4. Ethernet LAN x 1
Please suggest me some durable motherboards, as this is the first time I am building an Industrial PC.
I kind of settled on MSI B250 PC Mate but when I went through motherboard Tier list I could find PC Mate variants in Tier 3. Please advice if gaming motherboards will be more durable and can they me used in my industrial build as they belong to Tier 1?
Any other suggestions are also welcome.
