Dvd/cd driver for hp 625

my system could not detect the dvd/cd rom. please help

As this is a laptop, I would first look a removing it and reinserting to ensure you get a clean internal connection.

This may mean talking the back cover off and removing a small screw that sometimes holds the cd/dvd in place.
