Dvd display 8 characters on XP

Hello,
I used mkisofs and then growisofs to burn a DVD in Linux. The DVD content was normal in Linux. However, when the DVD was displayed on Windows XP, it only displays 8 characters for every directory or file name.

could that be because mkisofs and growisofs are not cross compatible with XP?
sounds like a bit of a mixupoffs.

The protocol Rock Ridge Interchange Protocol used in Linux is not supported in Windows.



Using option -iso-level 4 in mkisofs seems making Windows happy.
