Dvd drive not reading

I have a gateway nv59c i was using dvd cloner trial when it happened and my laptop won't read write.i got in touch with gatway they had me do upper filters and lower filters and nada.then factory reset and nothing so this person from india saids I have to send it in but devive manager has nyellow flg next to it and everything is allright but I ask myself why it is not working.please help me.my dvd rw is optiarc ad 7585h.

Did you re-seat the drive? Yellow flag next to a device is not "allright" like you said, but rather shows that the device has an issue. I'd send it in for a replacement like the support guy said.

Thanks for your suggestion. After going through 3 different procedures with the gateway techie It was when I decide Ihad no ther recourse but to send it in. thanks teggy
