my dvd drive when moving it I hear something rocking moving inside the drive what may be loose inside the drive?

Does it have a part number? Laptop? or are you shaking a tower?
There is a head with laser to read disk should be in a parked position.
There is a motor to spin the disk.
open the drawer and look inside with a light.
You can pull the drive and open it up to take a look.

if i shake the samsung sata internal drive i hear some part moving inside the drive, photos I was unable to remove the top metal cover

can you open the tray? a paperclip into the small hole should release it.
ICan you see whats moving?

yes the tray I open by pulling it does not fully enter it is a little stuck but it opens
