DVD Newbie

I've finally decided to just on the dvd bandwagon but I'm really needing to a some crash course in what to buy and why. I've tried looking for dvd hardware reviews and resources but very little luck so far. Can any of you point me to a reliable site that can lay out my options, the pros and cons of different setups, product reviews, etc. The more info. the more I will love you unconditionally

Thanks. I checked out the site and it definitely has more than I've found before. With the postings in this forum and Storagereview, its helping alot to narrow down my choices.

If you plan on having a Digital Surround Sound reciever hooked up to your computer, make sure that you get Creative Labs DVD Encore or another DVD that has a hardware decoder card with digital output. this way you will be able to experience the best of all world.

If it works for you then don't fix it.
