DVD-r formatted but doesn't work?

Somehow I just formatted a DVD-r and now none of the burning programs will read my disc so I basically messed up 3 of my 10 discs. Please help

I don't ever format DVD-Rs. What are you trying to do? I think formatting is only for DVD-RWs.

A dvd-r is write once , you don't format them

I picked " use as usb " and it formatted it and now I cant do anything with it. I was trying to put my movie on it.

You don't format DVD-Rs, that's your problem.
