I have a Shuttle SN41G2V2 that I'd like to use to show DVDs using a
projector for movie night at church but I was wondering what DVD
software I should use that supports the 5.1 Sound? I bought
InterVidio's XPack DVD player but after I installed it, I realized
that it only supports 2-channel sound. There do seem to be more
expensive versions of that software that support better sound but
their website is pretty confusing on the subject and I'd like some
advice before I spend any more money. Any one have any
recomendations?

VLC media player supports 5.1 sound and it is open source freeware -

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I downloaded VLC and that works
pretty well and has a nice simple non-flashy user interface. It did
crash once so I may look into some of the other suggestions when I
have spare minute. Now I have to look into a good set of 5.1
speakers...

WinDVD and PowerDVD. Could be different versions of this software with
and without 5.1-support - e.g. that you need a more expensive version.

Personally I use a version of PowerDVD I got with a videoboard, and it
works with 5.1.

Check out the logitec 640 at newegg.com. Great speakers for about $60.00.
