I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop that I have installed windows 10. When trying to update the driver for the DVD, the pull down choices for the operating system does not have windows 10 as a choice. How can I update the driver for this DVD to windows 10? Is this DVD compatible with the windows 10 OS?
Thanks

The laptop had windows 7 and I upgraded to windows 10 when the upgrade was made available several years ago. The DVD worked fine before the upgrade to win 10. I believe that this is the first time that I tried to use the DVD since the upgrade. Before (win 10) the DVD automatically started and ran with no problem. When I loaded the DVD into the drive today the DVD player started playing but stopped after a few seconds and there was no picture on the screen.
That is why I thought I needed to reinstall the driver. Thanks

Try this first.

It's possible that the autoplay settings are turned off.

Also, you'll need to install a third party application if you want to play DVD movies on there. Windows 10 does not come with a video player. I'd recommend KMplayer or VLC media player. I used to recommend VLC automatically, but it has been pretty spotty recently and I actually uninstalled it this week and started using KMplayer. I'm happier with that over how VLC was acting.

Try those options and see what happens. What are you trying to play?

I have an instructional DVD for guitar lessons from Keith Urban that I am trying to view. I got the guitar and DVD lessons all in one package.
