Well I saved this and tried copytodvd. nti cd is over 27 megs. Not worth a 3
hour download for a trial to me. DVD maker platinum and DVD architect are
either no longer in production, or have a horrible place on search engines.
I have 3 bad DVD disks now with nothing on them.
Nero might have ruined one or two of these dvds, but none of the recording
software so far has reacted any differently to the disks at all.
the copytodvd did a lot of spinning and red light writing, and taking forever
to clean up, only to have a blank disk when done.
here's a log file of copytodvd.

this above may have screwed me on using the DVD a 2nd time.
Why is it DVD software can't at least attempt to not screw things up.
I had pretty much the same luck with a HP cd / rw. I may have 10-15 workable
cd's from 2-3 years of the hp.
They play, but when it comes to writing they seem to go brain dead.
Even the software that came with the DVD is worthless. You'd think the
manufacturer would at least bundle working software with their machines.
