Hello.
I have a GTX 770 and two Monitors AOC Q3279VWFD8 and AOC Q3279VWF.
I have connected one monitor with HDMI cable, works fine, another with DVI-D Dual link.
And the resolution is set to 2560x1440. The view is stretched, blurry and jagged, I checked the monitor settings and it shows 1280x1440. Which means that only single link is working.
Now i checked a bit and most common issues are that the connectors are cables are single link. But GTX 770 has only two dual link connections, Monitors have dual link connections. Cable is dual link (with 24 pins, not 18 single link one (checked again while writing this)).
So what is the solutions to that?
I can't use the display ports, because my work pc is connected with them. The only options that are left are VGA (that can't handle 1440p) or DVI DL (which should handle but won't)
I also tried lowering the Refresh rate, got it to 42, still blurry, and 41 is not supported.
Can this only mean faulty cable?

Single link and dual link cables both have the same pinout by specification. Some single-link cables deviate from specification and have the unused center pins physically missing, but not all of them do.

Dual-link vs single-link cables cannot be distinguished by looking at them.
Ah to test if the GPU can hande it, did not think of that. I hooked it up on Display Port, so my first one is connected with HDMI and the second one is connected with DP, both work at 1440p, a nice view, no blurr, at monitor settings it says that its 2560x1440 so everything works like that until i reconnect it with DVI DL

Yup, you're right, I've been scammed.
The retailer shows that it's dual link, but when i go to manufacturer's page, I see this:
"DVI Single Link (Dual link not wired) "
Never knew that was possible, thanks, i'll get a new - real dual link cable
