So I am planning to build a setup and already have a monitor (a Iiyama Prolite b2280wsd) that only has a DVI port (not actually sure what specification it is) and i want to get a BenQ GW2480 which has a HDMI port and a DP port I want to use a dual monitor but could spend the extra money on a better model of a 2060 maybe even a 2060 super if it is on discount. Will this work since they are different resolution and the BenQ is 16:9 at 1920x1080 and the iiyama is 16:10 at 1680x1050 will it work and also i would prefer to use hdmi so that i can also get a thunderbolt3 to dp for my macboock so that i can use it on a bigger screen however i doubt that i will use that too much since the pc i am building will be a lot more powerful. Will this work thanks

Solution
ok thanks should i get another monitor or keep the bad one i have already and get a better gpu
For desktop work, a second monitor is very useful.
The graphics power needed to drive it are minimal.
Even integrated graphics works well.

If you are into fast action gaming, then a stronger graphics card for games might be good.
Not for the side monitor, but for better fps.
Adding a side monitor to your gaming gpu does not impact gaming.
