DVI-I to Component

I have an old HD TV that has component but no vga or hdmi. I read up places that since I have an nvidia card in it that outputs dvi-i I would be able to get a dvi-i to component cable and connect it to my tv. However this didn't seem to work. Is there something else I should check? Or whats the best way to connect this thing to my tv?

I haven't found anyway do do it I have tried going through a laptop and all
The best thing to do which solved my problem is buy a new tv
