Hello, i want to connect my pc having a GTX 660 with DVI-I to my TV's component input.
Found this cable:
https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=2508

Will this work? Anyone tried something like this on a GPU with DVI-I?
I know DVI is digital, and Component is analog, but DVI I has both digital and analog.
I think the GPU is sending out RGB signals over the DVI I port?
Im living in EU/sweden if that matters any, TV is having an RGB port that works via VGA but on VGA its utterly crap image, cant adjust anyting, but component does.

Thanks for help

VGA resolution is on native, its not that, its the colours, on the VGA port, i cant adjust anything, but on scart or component i can. Thats why i want to connect with that cable, if possible.

Yeah, have tried that, but the image gets blurred doing that, it gets unsharp, and theres no way to sharpen the image (tv doesnt support it over VGA, and Nvidia CP not either)
Over HDMI, its the same story, cant adjust color or sharpness, only via SCART, component and S-video, the latter not being an option as its not even going higher then 1024xsomething and text is very blurry.

Thinking, if this cable will work over DVI-I to component, but i think not, heres someone i found that tried on a 7950

Im going to select this/your answer as the solution, i know ive tried before, but it was actually the solution, it was PCSX2 unsharpening the image, something to do with its shader filter that was activated, this made the unsharp image even more unsharp by adjusting the nvidia settings. I discovered this by adjusting shadeboost settings in PCSX2 (exactly same settings as Nvidias (contrast/brightness/saturation), i noticed the same effect untill i deactivated display filer in shadeboost settings. Picture became razor sharp after some 2 hours tweaking, got it better then PS2's image even.

Thank you all for the help, VGA is better then component if done right.

Yeah figured that, VGA is superior to any component or SCART. Im using an DVI to VGA adapter from the 660, with a VGA cable going to the TV. Fixed the problems i had with said Nvidia CP/for application (there i needed to adjust contrast to a higher level, same for saturation).
