There is a high probability that it will work; those are the correct connectors, (although it is best to avoid VGA when you can
).
What model video card is it?
What model monitor?
My GPU is an XFX R7 250 1GB GDDR5 and I want to add a second 1024 x 768 monitor, specifically a Belinea 101551
In that case, a DVI-D cable instead of VGA would be better.
But, you said you were having trouble getting a DVI-D cable to work?
One option might be to use an HDMI to DVI-D cable for the new monitor (you have an HDMI port on the video card, right)?
However, the question, then is which port do you use for the second monitor. Are you sure the DVI port on your video card no longer works? Because using DVI-D to DVI-D for the second monitor would be best (and then hdmi for the first monitor).
.... so let me ask this:
* Your video card has 3 ports on it right? VGA, DVI, and HDMI?
* And you can't get the DVI port to work using a DVI cable, right?
BTW, I hope you aren't paying for that Belinea monitor; it is a pretty bad monitor to be paying money for.
