I have dvi from my gpu into vga in monitor. My case is damn stupid and because of a tiny metal thing(not removable) i cannot use any hdmi ports. Does this affect my gaming on gtx 1080 for 1080p 60hz? I got decent enough components otherwise. Thank you!

Could you post a pic of the issue? Really curious.

Would be pretty strange for a case vendor to block access to part of a GPU's IO. Poor business decision there.

As for DVI-VGA at 1080p 60HZ, strictly speaking, no; performance should be the same.
BUT, an analog signal can suffer from interference, and typically strikes me as more washed out color-wise than a digital equivalent.

It's not going to impact your outright gaming performance (FPS etc).... but could probably look better.

I bought the case originally in 2010, it's probably even older. The thing is I literally have nothing to get my pc running on a monitor atm. It's a tiny metal thing that only lets half of the hdmi go in (0.5-1cm from where it ideally should be). I just upgraded my psu and gpu and i spent over 10h cleaning, uninstalling old parts and installing new ones. I don't want to get a new case yet, too much work. Is the DVI-VGA not washed out enough to play on it until I get a new case? (few months)
