E: Drive won't format? It's pops up the following, "File system is RAW. CHCKDSK is not available for Raw drives" or something like that and also "Request could not be completed because of an I/O error" ????? I've paid good money for it and I've been trying since yesterday... Please help? I've also tried to Format it NTSF or something and that also didn't work because it said unsuccessful. Now, to my understanding, there's a partition apparently on this drive but it's not important to me, neither is that previous data so if theres anyway I can get rid of both and use it as a normal drive for storage, that is ideal

Unfortunately, I/O(input/output) error could indicate that there is something wrong with the drive. Also, it could be caused by faulty connection.

So, it would be a good idea to start with just attaching the drive with different cable(USB if external/SATA & power ones if internal).

If the testing tools can't access the drive or the drive fails the tests, then I would suggest you go contact the place you got it from.
