[SOLVED] E-mail hosts

I have a domain on GoDaddy with an e-mail account. Using Qualcomm Eudora e-mail on my PC, I communicate via godadday, sending and receiving my mail. The mail is deleted from the server when retrieved.

After 20 years I seem to be having intermitten issues connecting for the e-mail.

Is there another host where I could have a domain and email accounts still using my PC based Qualcomm Eudora ?

As long as you can set your program to use a standard IMAP or POP email client anything would work.

Then why am I having such a problem with GoDaddy

Being 20 years old, it is quite possible Eudora does not know IMAP, or how to do POP3 over TLS. You might also confuse go daddy role - it is your domain host, but is it also your email host?

Send yourself a couple of test emails, and configure a modern client like Windows Mail, or Mozilla Thunderbird to access your email, to see where's the problem.

GoDaddy is both my domain and e-mail host.
The Eudora supports imap and starttls, but I don't see TLS.

Eudora hasn't been updated in years and doesn't support the newest versions of the security protocols. You need to be switching to a more up to date client. This is the most likely source of your problems.

I want to keep all of my email on my PC, so what clients are recommened ?

This should get you started. My personal favorite is Thunderbird.

One thing at a time. First, get off that outdated client, then, if there are still issues, they can be better defined and dealt with.

I just installed Thunderbird, it was surprisingly quick to get it set up.
I imported all my extra mailbox folders, only issue was attempting to import the actual inbox.
Only can get subject date address, but not the content.
