E3 08: Sony's Games Lineup Underwhelms

After watching Microsoft steal its former exclusive Final Fantasy XIII the day before, Sony tried to regroup and show off some of its upcoming titles at E3. But its media briefing didn't generate much heat.

256 player multi? How is that accomplished.. through dedicated PCs? PS3s? Costs for a clan would be through the roof..

The concept for a 256 multi looks good but all there was is a CGI movie. I'm thinking that by the time the game comes out, BF3 will be on it's way.

Like Stemnin mentioned, what about Clans? A dedicated PS3? I guess the server could be a PC but doesn't that defeat the purpose? Here's where multi on consoles suffer from limitations.

I think it's too bad that sony doesn't have a good line up. I mean, after winning the Blue-Ray battle and bragging about how PS3 consoles have more torque than the XBOX 360, I wonder why they haven't grabbed the opportunity they had this year to really shine above other consoles.

I guess you can't have everything.

I didn't know that the PS3 was a gaming console, I thought it was just a blueray player. I was pretty sure this was confirmed when I went to a friend's house and he put in this interactive CGI movie... but people keep telling me this thing plays games, and that the interactive blueray movie was supposed to be one of those games.

Can anyone confirm if this BlueRay player actually has games on it?
