About a year ago my PC repeatedly turned off while gaming, no fans spinning. No bluescreen, nothing in event viewer. My RAM rgb stayed lit though, almost like its in sleep mode. I couldn't post my PC without switching the PSU switch off and on again. Then it posted just fine like nothing ever happened. This happened a couple times but eventually stopped. Fast forward to like a month ago it started happening again. I ran a few tests in OCCT and my PC would do the exact thing I described when I ran a combined test of VRAM and 3D-Standart. So logically, I thought my GPU was faulty so I got a new one 2 weeks ago. Worked fine for a week until it happened again. I reapplied thermal paste, reseated RAM and CPU. Reset CMOS. Ran tests for God knows how long but I couldn't replicate the issue. It kept on happening randomly until one morning my PC refused to boot completely. It turned on for a split second and immediately off again. RAM RGB stayed lit etc. Then I tried posting without my GPU and RAM and it worked perfectly fine. I put every RAM stick in every slot one at a time but everything worked fine. I've read about this exact issue online a few times. One said it was his GPU, one said it was his PSU.
