Hello, i have been trying to get my new Intel E7500 working for about 2 hours now with still no luck, when i boot up my pc the screen is just blank and doesnt recognise that there is a connection, Any ideas why would be lovely. my graphics card is a nvidia Gts 450

Solution
So you selected the GM45 not the CM45, they are 2 different boards.

You need to be sure that you have the GM45 otherwise your new cpu won't even work.
Download cpu-z and see what it says about your mobo and bios info.

The chipset has to be the 945G not the 945GC, cpu-z will also tell you this.
The only ones that show support on the website are the older C2D 65nm chips -

The Pentium Dual Core e6600 that you listed is the newer 45nm chip as is the e7500, that could be the problem.

The C2D chips have a lower clock speed but more cache than the newer chips, make sure the chip you get corresponds exactly to the specs on the Foxcon website i.e. the e6600 is 2.4ghz and 4mb cache whereas the chip you listed is a Pentium Dual Core 3.06ghz with 2mb cache.

Don't think you'll find a new one it'll have to be an eBay purchase, actually heres one -

I never thought I would either.

Hopefully you'll plug it all in and away you go, it'll all be worth it then.

At least you won't have to worry about your psu wiping out your system now and that e6600 OC's really well, you should get the cost of it back from selling your e7500.

Let me know.

Haha thanks alot man much appreciated and will update when i get the new E6600, But i have found a slight problem im having whilst runnin games. My graphics driver is failing alot more now after i installed the new bios, I did just reinstall the drivers soo will update after ive played some games.

If CPU-Z says you have a 945G chipset which ='s the 45GM. The 45CM has the 945GC chipset.

OP posted earlier that his chipset was 945G so have been working with the 45GM board.

Hopefully you have used this bios - http://www.foxconnsupport.com/download.aspx?models=en-us0000315&category=C000000001&Series=en-us0000002&keywords=&sort=

Ok, so check with cpu-z.(Just be 100% about the board and chipset)
You have the latest Nvidia drivers.
You have the latest bios.
You have a suspect psu that could cause any number of issues.
You have new cpu and psu on the way.
You have an extremely long thread that started last year.
Now we wait. [:beanoslim]
