In the bios there are three different voltage levels..... grey-assignable by auto voltage, green-safe but manual only, and red "unsafe?" but manual only

On the FSB 1.1 is auto, 1.2/1.3 is green and 1.4 and 1.5 is red, in other words is 1.4/1.5 on the FSB harmful esp for long periods?

let me tell you something i had before.

when i was overclocking the Q6600 the vcore will go red at 1.45v and suppose 1.5V is the recommended limit for all intel's CPU. so you get what i try to say?

the only big conceen when raising any voltage is the heat output level being increase. so make sure your mobo wont overheat even with those voltages.

i would say as long as it pass prime small ffts and blend test along with reasonable temp then its safe.

your call.

My only worry is than I cannot measure the NB from windows, any program will only find the overall board ambient which is always 31/32 C and in BIOS it appears that the NB idles at 50/60 C. And the higher I turn up the fan on the NB the more it blows hot air on my vid card. I love how they think everything through......

ON my rig... xfx 780i e8400 3.0 @ 3.825...>>> voltages : cpu 1.325V
and my patriot ram @2.1V and the FSB set to 1700 @1.3V Unlinked and 2x8800GTSoc's SLI but all at stock OC i didn't change those ...and mine is stable>> i think.... tried FSB up to 1776ish which gave me round 3.9 something GHZ but would Lock when move mouse...LOL so 1700 has been the winner.. it hasnt gave me **** since.... hope this helps ya... for some reason after i installed new cpu cooler.. i get 10C lower at idle and LOAD but it becomes unstable so i'm not sure what to change? thankS i know my temps are staying LOW but get an occasional blue dump screen when trying over 3.8ghz
