It used to be, the 7xxx series from nVidia showed better in 3DMark, but over all the 19xx series was a little better. Then the 2xxx and 3xxx series came out, showed great "potential in 3DMark, but failed in games, while the G80 series ruled, but showed less, at similar price points. Now its changed again, where even the ATI "looks" like its not doing so great, it wins at price point again.

When the 4xxx series came out, and before we had anything but bungholio marks, I suggested this as a possibility, and while Im not saying Im patting myself on the back, these things do happen, as its only a bungholio mark and nothing more.

As for the high previous showing of the potential of the gen 2xxx or 3 xxx series, we finally see it fullfilled in the 4xxx series, tho its still only bungholio marks

From what i've seen its going to be 2gb. Or so i hope. I see what L1qu1d tryin to say, I don't like vantage point to much either, pretty much says what ever card or cpu has the better specs is the better card or cpu but thats not always true. Here are some links w/ the 4850x2 in some real game benchies enjoy!!!

4850x2 FTW

Ok Does anyone know is the 4850x2 just a one board Xfire system or is it going to actually be a better card then two 4850 xfired
the reason i am asking is because what if you are playing a game or using software the does not support xfire and thus it is useless
i have been thinking about getting one but if im not going to see a boost then im going to keep my xfire setup

This is over 1 month old why bring it back?

From what I've seen it does not perform as 2 4850s. I mean 2 4850s you saw a higher leap over 1 280 GTX compared to the 4850 X2 which is on par, lower or slightly higher than the 280 GTX (Meaning, it exchanges blows, while 2 4850s I've seen stay higher more consistently).

$200 for the card, with rebate $185.
