Easy and probably stupid Virtualdub question......

1. OK I captured the AVI using Virtual VCR with HuffyDuf.
2. I selected the filters I want in Virtualdub.

How do I apply the filters to my AVI and save the finished processed video.

"Save as AVI" in the File menu.

What should I use for video compression? Should I use Huffyuv again
and then use something else to encode it?

To select the filters you need select "Video | Full processing mode".
Then you click on "Video | Filters..." and select and configure at
your will the filters to apply. You can check the result in the output
pane.

To save, do "File | Save as avi".

If you plan on further editing the material, then you would save as
Huffyuv, and only encode to a lossy format in the last step. But if
this is already the last step, then use your encoder of choice
directly.

I will not be editing them anymore. I eventually plan to burn them on
DVD for play in my regular DVD player. Whats the next step? Should I
be selecting a compression that takes place when I "save as avi." and
which one would be best for burning to DVD in the future?
