What a piece of crap...my eyes hurt and my sense of visual beauty gets ass-raped, just by looking at it.

Looks good to me. The old Ebay logo is clearly outdated and has a 90's feel.

Didn't even know eBay was still around.
It's basically a playground for commercial retailers now.
The few real auction deals get simply lost in the regular merchandise.

I rather check pricewatch.com or amazon.com these days.

Old one was prettier, new one looks somehow unfinished, like a stepping stone on the road between no-logo and finished-logo.

As much as the quote looks like bitterness, I think the sentiments it expresses are dead-on. The elements of the original logo carried exactly the meanings he described; the new one is boring, "me-too."

I just love Gaben, seriously. He's a hero. Without him, and the team at Valve, I would have no hope in PC gaming. Edit: Yes, I know there are other great developers, but I'm not only talking about the games! I'm talking about Valve and everything they do. And there is just something special about Gabe, I mean I have never met him, never got to know him in person, but for me he is just amazing.

that seems to becoming a more common trend recently for some reason. And I have no idea why other than people are getting lazy.

Personaly I think the new Windows and Ebay logos look like ****. This isn't 1893 people....at least I hope not...
