ECC ram on desktop motherboard

I have a ga-g41mt-s2pt motherboard
I want to get 8gb of ram and I see a good deal on ECC ram does the ECC memory will work with it

ECC won't work. The motherboard (and likely CPU) don't support it.

Not gonna work.

That board (Rev 2.1) only supports 1333 (OC)/1066/800 non-ecc ram. You'd need a workstation 771 with a Xeon processor to support ecc ram.
