ECS board - no POST

I posted this query in the ECS section but no response.

My newish ECS mobo will not post (or anything else) until the CMOS Clear jumper is pulled out and reinserted (in the same pins 1&2).

What does the jumper usually connect when in 'normal'. Note that I do not need to do a real CMOS clear, just break the pins 1-2 link for a second.

Did you read the manual conserning the CMOS pins and reset options?
