Question Edge keeps deleting all my logins/cookies after GPU change

Hi!

I replaced my GPU yesterday (RX6800 swapped for 9070XT), and since then, every few times I open up Edge (also noticed with Chrome), all my logins are gone, I have to relog into Google, chaGPT, what have you, and have to click "accept cookies" all over again on every website. Settings have not been changed, I triple-checked, and the "delete cookies on close" setting is not enabled. I even added Google as an exception so that it can store cookies, to no avail. Has anyone else ever experienced something similar related to hardware change? How do I fix it?

Have you scanned this system for malware? Seems a coincidental issue regarding the GPU swap and the browser behavior.

Nothing dodgy basically, I never install anything from unreliable sources. I think I uninstalled/installed some games from the Xbox app and Steam and that's it haven't scanned for malware yet but I'm going to give it a shot!

Apparently not. I installed a plugin to make the new tab default to google and it is still working even though I had to log in again. Also no malware found.

Windows Defender, because I've had trouble with anything else but I ran Malwarebytes now just to be safe.

Yes to both. MS profile stays logged in, but Google, Facebook, everything else automatically logs out. Plugins seem to be unaffected, and it seems to happen after closing the browser and playing a game for some time. Chrome does not seem to be affected and neither does Firefox.

Try this. Create another local account on your PC. Save some login info on a few of your sites. Does the behavior happen on that account?
