The reason why your hulu fullscreen playback was terrible was due to Flash's scaling using processor power. Hulu makes my Pentium M 1.7gHz choke. The fix is to right click on the movie and set the quality to low. Bingo bango, it might not "look" as good, as the pixels are now square and not scaled nicely, but it is watchable and smooth.
