[citation][nom]killerclick[/nom]No, no no nonono. No friends. You want to play with friends, go to the park and do reenactments or whatever. Computer gaming is all about not needing other people to have fun.[/citation]

Congrats, that's the most stupid thing I've read all month.

Bug free (or at least less buggy) Bethesda game? Dream on!
Unless of course if they don't call it that... like maybe glitch or unexpected program error.

OTOH, Fallout MMO will probably a RPG shooter like Stalker. You probably can't VATS online.

[citation][nom]casualcolors[/nom]A Bethesda game supervised by a former Mythic employee? Won't be a buggy mess? It's an MMO?aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha[/citation]
Mythic did released perhaps the least buggy MMO of all time; Dark age of Camelot. The game had virtually no bugs at release.

[citation][nom]killerclick[/nom]There shouldn't be an Elder Scrolls Online in the first place. People who loved Skyrim, Oblivion and Morrowind (and Daggerfall and Arena) aren't likely to be huge MMO fans and vice versa. Even if a whole different studio is doing Elder Scrolls Online, there's no need to dilute the franchise with cookie-cutter MMOs.[/citation]

Here's an idea for you, genius... How about they don't make a "cookie cutter" mmo, and do something original?

Did that idea ever pop into your little brain?

Maybe they can be one of the few people who make an MMO that's not just a EQ / WoW clone?

Most recently, Tera was launched and it added a completely new type of combat system to MMOs that's fresh and invigorating. (Mortal online and Darkfall also had action combat, but Tera is by far the best out of the 3)

SWTOR, though had WoW-ish style gameplay, introduced completely spoken dialog and choice driven quests and instances. Added a nice Mass Effect, epic story telling feel to an MMO and was great.

Not to mention some of the great features that accompanied Tera's nexus system, Rift's rift system, and GW2's dynamic open world questing system are making large group play fluid and a lot of fun.

TES MMO has a chance to be different and bring something new to the MMO universe, so give them a chance (You nay sayers do make me laugh though, because we all know TES fans are going to be pre-ordering this game on day one it's available lol, so stop acting all high and mighty like you won't get the game lol)

Frankly, it's about time the TES universe went multiplayer. I can't think of a single TES game that wouldn't have been more fun dragging a few friends along for the epic ride.

GG scrubs.

But if it ends up just being a WoW clone, then it will have been a complete waste of a game.

I don't like promises like these because what this means is they'll sacrifice from the game in order to keep their promise. Strike number 2 for them being on the path of screwing it up.

The first strike, possibly the most important strike of all is their decision to have Bethesda be only consultants instead of the main designers behind the game.

I'm less concerned about bugs that can be fixed with subsequent patches and more concerned about the quality of the game-play that they'll probably screw up.

I was disappointed the TES went MMO how many years ago. This series has and always be a single player franchise. I can just hear some one cry "this player is over powered! I can't kill him!" with dev's rushing to nerf a class/skill to make the incompetent player happy. Skyrim was already a heavily watered down TES game with the skill mapping and removal of 70% of the spells from the actual lore of the game(yes i know and understand that mages aren't tolerated much in Skyrim) but where is the telekinesis? marking spells? and why is it we can't jump and attack/cast spells? This series as good as it is has been hacked and slashed more and more the past 2 releases. And begin the flaming of this post because I voiced my opinion on the last few releases.
