Question ElectroCookie Raspberry Pi 4 Case

ok, so i got this a few months ago https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09R6TZCQ8?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
It's great, but as i connect a portable usb hard drive, where all of my MP4 files are, I noticed when watching my MP4, i started noticing the audio and video isn't adding up. The sound is a little off. So i connected the portable drive to the Roku and watch the MP4 on the Roku media player and everything was playing smoothly. So, can under power causes the video to not play smoothly.

I am certain there are more expert people than I, but so you know that people hear your plight, I respond.

"under power" can mean a couple of things. Insufficient current and/or voltage can always lead to problems. Adding an external drive will draw more energy, unless you have a power supply for the drive. But this is unlikely your problem as the RPi hasn't crashed (or has it?).

"under power" can also mean insufficient CPU and/or GPU bandwidth. The CPU is unable to meet the demands of video playback. I do not know the speed of the RPi USB port on the RPi, but there could be a problem with low bandwidth on the RPi USB 3 port

As a side note, bare bones RPi's are currently selling at over $150. You can get a refurbished desktop computer i3 dual core, 4GB RAM, 500GB HD, DVD drive for about USD$100 on Amazon. (pay another $10 and get the 3yr warrantee) The video is not great so you might want to get a video card. Yeah, it's not small, but it will do the job you want for a lot less money.

On my Pi4, i have a dual fan cooler and the RemotePi board.
I have had finally found the right Game controller for retroPi.
So, can it just be under watts that can cause the playback in the video to not play right.

After a few months, i reconnected the Pi 4, this time, i started playing a video from a portable drive, in which the video normally plays right, but the video was playing in slow motion and audio and video just not right. When i bought the

I am not an expert. Hopefully, one will respond. Only two things come to mind. Clean all of the dust off the board. Because of your cooling system, I don't think this will help much. The other suggestion is to re-install the Raspberry Pi OS. 🙁

It’s been a couple days since anyone posted, but I have a few ideas.
  1. What model microSD card do you have? It might not be fast enough for the OS.
  2. What type of drive are the videos on? It’s possible that it is drawing too much power.
  3. How is the drive connected to the Raspberry Pi? Some adapters require an external power source.
  4. What other peripherals or devices are are you using? On my Raspberry Pi 4b (with stock power supply), I can only have a mouse and keyboard OR a hard drive. This works for me because I’m using it as headless server. I can stream videos with Plex Media Server or use SSH for remote administration.
  5. Is everything updated?
  6. How large are the video files? The size could be causing it to expend the resources.
  7. What are the specs for your Pi4B? Is it a 2GB, 4GB, or 8GB model?

Yeah, that what i mean.
See, i have had bought a RaspberryPi board https://www.msldigital.com/collecti...-4-external-ir-and-led?variant=30268836610182
and looking on stacking it on the sound card. The HiFiBerry sound card didn't work. where the pins had to be solider on the card, the screw holes wouldn't line up. so that is out of the question.

is there any more cards, like the Innomaker

So, i got this going right after buying the pi case and the dual fans https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09R6TZCQ8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and got it all together, but one thing, since that i have an portable hard drive, which is going good, the videos play smooth everything good. But once that i bought this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09R6TZCQ8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 with the dual fans, the playback on the drive is not smooth playing, So i figure it was both fans causing that.
