Element TV wont display in 4k

I just bought an Element ELSJ5017 and an HDMI 2.0 cable. When using my PC connected to the TV, windows wont allow the resolution higher than 1920x1080. Drivers for my GTX1080 and Windows are both up to date.

I was able to force the TV into the correct resolution via the NVIDIA Control Panel, but its choppy, the mouse gets stuck, and the pointer size is very large compared to the scaling. Is there a correct way to go about this?

1920 x 1080 is the correct panel resolution for that model:

50-inch screen is way too big to use as a PC monitor anyway unless it's at least 10 feet away from you.

I basically wanted it for YouTube 4k and other streaming media
