Agreed, but remember, this is Musk we are talking about. He's a reasonably intelligent guy with a little formal training in .... physics? Or whatever it was - seems to be some sort of self-taught programmer who, if what I read is accurate, isn't a very good programmer. He is unfortunately incredibly vain and had decided he is actually a genius visionary so he just kind of talks and most of what he says is factually wrong, or just on its face stupid in some "fundamentally doesn't understand what he is talking about" way.

He does love science in the way a 10 year old that reads science fiction does and that would be good if he wasn't so spiteful. I'm torn on if the world needs people like him.
