[citation][nom]Unlimited1980[/nom]Miguel, exactly this could happen again! The difference is: the DDR3-memory won't never get really cheap again after the coming pricehike, cause then comes DDR4 wich is starting in 2013.Traditionally is the "old" memory technology expensier then the new one.Let' look at DDR2.Therefore I said: buy all the DDR3-memory you'll EVER need NOW.[/citation]
Well, if prices go up right now, there's still time for them to go down enough again, I mean DDR4 is not expected to become mainstream before 2014 anyway, which is when prices will be dropping.

Though I have to agree, this is a good time to buy DDR3, prices are probably not going down anytime soon...

Now, if only I could still find a 2GB DDR2 SO-DIMM for €25, instead of €35... :p

When Qimonda was bankrupt, the prices climbed 1,5Years.
From january 2009 till summer 2011.

So when do you think, the prices will fall again?

Exactly: when you don't need no more DDR3
