So I have a buzzing coming through my headset and i've been told its EMI. I was told that to get rid of it id need an EMI shielded soundcard, currently i'm using my mobos onboard sound. Can anyone point me in the way of a soundcard that does this or offer any alternative ways of reducing/removing it? Would an external soundcard work (like one of those usb ones)? I'm using a razer kraken pro and i've had three of them so far, when i had the second one the buzzing started and I thought it was faulty so i got a replacement and the buzzing still occurs. Buzzing also comes through other audio outputs but some cheaper ones theres less buzzing.

Solution
with sound cards and motherboards and emi. start with the simple stuff. make sure your speakers and wifi card are not near each other same with any wireless keyboards and mice. also make sure any wireless phones and routers are not near the pc. also cell phones and chargers will cause issues. check the wall outlet make sure with a ground tester there a good ground wire. on your pc check the standoffs. they should be brass and not have any plastic or paper spacers. also make sure the rear io shield is used. also if your power strips are filled yu could have an issue. try picking up another one and run two from two outlets.

I think they meant just make sure it's in place, which it probably is. Btw what was the cause of your emi since I now have it after cleaning my computer.
