Enable microphone playback vista

Hello,
I want to change mic input to line in on my laptop. I'm using windows vista

If you have a dedicated line in input alter the settings in control panel/sound. If you only have a mic input then you will need a jack to phono adapter, but you will only get mono input. The only real alternative is to get an external USB sound card for stereo input.
