End of an Era: PS2 Stops Shipping to Retailers in Japan

Honestly i bought GTA3 before i had bought my PS2.. Don't ask me why.. Just call me stupid but at the time i didn't get much money and was still in high school.. Was a big fan of the first above view ones so i was ecstatic that this was the first 3D one with a open world environment. Just seemed crazy that all the violence from the above view turned into 3D could be 100x more fun plus it was on a console and i had become a bigger console person at the time. I had such a great time playing them i bought the complete pack this past weekend on steam for $12.50 figured even if my consoles die(which i hope they don't but they will) i can at least game it up on the PC and give them a run through since PC's will never disappear. Its always fun even just going in the game and giving it a go. The PS2 has lots of memories for me beyond GTA is GT and a few other games but there weren't too many i got into, GTA was really the big factor for me.

i want to buy a new ps2 as i have the fat one and now i have a touch screen with inputs in my truck. Would be cool to have this plugged in and playing during lunch or something
