End-to-end error on HDD

I've been having some problems with HDD usage on Windows 10. A guy said it could be HDD problem. I had already tested it some months ago with the Seagate app. It was ok. So today I used Ashampoo HDD Control 3 and it just said there was an SMART tribute error. I'm afraid I'll have to buy another HDD (specially because I've no money right now..) 🙁 Can someone help me with this?

Also, maybe that's the reason why my disk usage is constantly high?

SMART attribute B8(184) (end-to-end error) indicates that the drive's on-PCB cache is going bad. The attribute is used to compare parity data between the original piece of data sent by the controller (in your PC/system) and the drive itself.

It's a hard indicator that your drive is beginning to fail (specifically the cache on the drive).

Back up whatever data you can, hope for the best, and file an RMA with Seagate for your HDD. It needs to be replaced entirely.

Well, just checked in the website and it's out of warranty (I already suspected that, it has more than three years of use)....
I'm buying a WD WD20PURX. I won't risk it anymore.

One thing you can try is to attach the drive with different cables and re-test. See if this would make any difference.

Apart from that, it's great that you've decided to go with WD. Yet, WD Purple might not be the best pick for a boot drive. It is a drive designed to be used in surveillance systems.
My suggestion would be to take a look at WD Blue and WD Black(performance oriented product with 5 years of limited warranty).

About the WD drive, I already paid for that... there would be any problems?

Well, you will have no issues using the drive. Yet, the drive has some features that you won't really benefit much from(AllFrame technology for example), as it is used as a boot drive instead of being used in a surveillance system.

I managed to change it. Also bought an SSD. I hope it gets better and I don't lose my data again (as it happened 15 months ago)
