[citation][nom]IQ11110002[/nom]Ahhhhhhhh the fond memories of meeting the original "troll" called Noober, Long before or the trolls on forums and youtube.I'm sure a lot of you will remember him, HEY YA! HEY YA! HEY YA![/citation]

i always killed him 😀

I've always wished for Bioware to fix the loose ends & bugs in BG1, but this news is a nightmare. We don't need 'new content' for BG. The original BG1 art, design, sounds, music & style were what made the game so fun & atmospheric. Even BG2 couldn't come close in terms of quality (but was better in that it offered much more quantity and fixed almost every engine & gameplay glitch & hassle).

What we really need is Bioware to respond to fans reporting the problems running BG1 on modern systems for years: the graphic glitches that force you to run software BLITs (not much of a problem anymore on fast computers), and the real killer: the continuous non-combat ambient music hardly ever plays & almost never loops on fast computers. This minor annoyance has completely destroyed the atmosphere of playing.

Awesome news; these games were a lot of fun to play. Great sound effects and plots and classic RPG gameplay. And personally, I think the isometric graphics hold up very well, even today. But this update will be interesting to see.

[citation][nom]goatsetung[/nom]Fantastic! I've been meaning to replay the games but haven't bothered - too much work getting old games to run properly.[/citation]
wine my friend.. works fantastic

go for the eyes boo.. minsc and boo.. that game was the reason i fell in love with rpg's
it was soooo good

[citation][nom]killerclick[/nom]Oooooh, I hope they do this with Planescape Torment.[/citation]

Yep! That is what I am hoping too! That game is so well done, but a little bit aged craphically.

[citation][nom]Antimatter79[/nom]This will be a great service to the greatest PC RPG saga of all time (greatest to me, anyways). If this is done correctly, I will even consider granting a full pardon to Dragon Age II, the mess that it was, for tricking me into buying it on release day for full price (hell, for any price). I don't even allow the box for DA2 to be displayed alongside my other Baldur's Gate and Dragon Age boxes.[/citation]

no pardon is required , bioware/EA did dragon age 2, they are still quite guilty of that sin this baldur's gate ehanced is gonna be the sole re-work of atari bioware's old publisher (after black isle ) atari owns the DnD rights now though because they are owned by hasbro who in turn owns Wizards of the coast , the guys that assimilated TSR after it went bankrupt.

so again don't give pardon to bioware because bioware itself has NOTHING to with the Enhanced version of baldur's gate , aside from having developed the original. Would you pardon a killer for a serial murder , just because 5 years before he gave money to a kids charity and today his mom gave them ten million dollars on top of that ?

That said i look forward to this enhanced versions , and i hope they include throne of bhaal on the set , too , i'd love to completely replay this series

I absolutely LOVED Baldurs Gate all the way through to Throne of Bhall. The problem is games are so cool now, going back to that 3/4 view and tiny characters just seems meh...
