If this is going to be continue, than I will ignore any lucky draw price. Since last two of I7 is US ONLY.
I wonder if Tomshardware is US Only or International?
Be like it.

No offense to Tom's international readers, but that's what you get for living in another country. You Europeans and Canadians can still sleep well at night knowing your health care is provided at little to no cost to you.

As for why you can't enter, its a legal issue. Countries have different laws governing how prize drawings must be handled an awarded. Why do you think Rhode Island, U.S.A doesn't get to enter either?

If you really think europeans can live fine with their health care, then think again!
I don't know how things go in Canada, but 50% of Europe does not have health care.
You are probably thinking about the richest 10 countries, yes, they do have, but they also pay the price of 20,5 or greater percent tax!
Are you willing to pay for 20,5% tax?
Remember, that's about 5% more tax in the store, and much much much more percent tax off your wage!
Average wages are taxed between 40 and 60%!
Now you, with your 16,5%! Where are you?

[citation][nom]city_zen[/nom]Great! Another contest restricted to just 36.6% of Tom's readership (remember?)OK, since we're seeing a seemingly unavoidable trend here (Tom's contests being restricted to residents of the US of A), you could at least state in the article's title:"(US only)", as a courtesy to the majority of your readers.
P.S.: I just hope that the winner lives in the deep North of Alaska so they have a hell of a time delivering it[/citation]

Hey!!! What's with the thumbs down??? 😀
Here! I quoted it so everyone gets a chance of reading it :)

By the way, I love it how many Americans equate "non-US" with "European". It truly confirms the results of this study, and this article by the president of the American Geographical Society.

City_zen, I didn't thumb you down, but I believe the reasoning behind it lies in your attempt to illogically equate the rules of this contest as being created by individual citizens of the United States (and not BestofMedia/Toms). The %36.6 is accurate, but what you fail to mention is that it's the highest concentration of readership in the world and double the 2nd highest (Germany at %18.3). It's a lot easier to cater to one area of shipping/tax laws than an entire world full of region-specific shipping/tax regulations. It is not an issue of favoritism or pro-American bias, therefore it is irrational to beget unwarranted resentment towards citizens who have NO control of the rules.

Cliff, thanks for your respectful and thoughtful reply (I thumbed you up, by the way :) ). I mostly agree with you, I know it must be close to impossible to create a contest that is valid in every country of the world. I mean, Pandora is a good example of the kind of problems you face when you cross national borders.
However, I think that if you're restricted to offering a contest to just 37% of your users, maybe you (i.e. Tom's) can show something along the lines of "(US Only)" in the title instead of after you describe the prizes. A little courtesy, you can call it.
What I do regret is that many Americans know little about Geography (sincere apologies to those who do and are offended by my generalization), and are too quick to think that anyone who comes to this site and is not American MUST be European, as if the rest of the world didn't exist. Read the comments above to see what I mean. That was the reason why I quoted those articles.
It wasn't my intention to hold every American responsible for the decision of the few people who manage this contest. I'm sorry if I was misunderstood about that and I came across a little grumpy.
