Question Entry point not found.

Hi, my pc has currently ran into an issue I can't resolve.

Every single program on my machine will no longer open, they all give the error message 'The procedure entry point xxxx could not be located in the dynamic link library' I've tried using the system file verification tool but it found no issues and that's all I've found people suggesting elsewhere. I legitimately left to go to the toilet and came back to my pc not working anymore I have no idea what to do, any help is appreciated - thank you.

reboot the pc?
can't even open calculator ?

Rebooting did nothing, I can open the calculator and chrome but that's about as far as it goes. The exact error message I'm getting is...

'The procedure entry point RegOpenUserClassesRoot could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\WINDOWS\System32\KERNEL32.DLL.'

got system restore turn on? try that
run any malware scan?

I don't have a backup saved unfortunately, currently running a full malware scan so I'll see what that brings up.
